2016 Presidential Election: A Break Down of the Issues From Kansas City Movers

All My Sons Kansas City movers know that when you are deciding to move to a new city, the policies and politics are a big factor. With the 2016 Presidential Election coming up this November, Kansas City residents have been complaining of “election burnout”. It seems there are a lot of rumors around how each candidate feels on the nation’s biggest issues. Negative ads with contradictory information can become overwhelming for voters, so our Kansas City movers want to clarify where each candidate stands.

Immigration: This politically touchy issue is always one of the hottest presidential debate topics. Right now, there are an estimated 11 million undocumented workers currently in the United States. Clinton feels we need to create more accessible paths to citizenship. Trump feels we need to strengthen the U.S. Mexican border with a wall.

Abortion: Regarded as the most emotional of presidential issues, Clinton believes women should have the right to their bodies and it is for them to decide if they need to go through the procedure, and Trump is “pro-life” – with some exceptions.

Civil Rights: With Black Lives Matter in the spotlight and the recent protests in Kansas City, there has been plenty of civil unrest in our country over the last few years. Clinton wants to modify some laws to level out the hostility, and Trump says “All Lives Matter”.

Climate Change: Kansas City movers report Clinton will push for America to be the world’s clean energy superpower, while Trump does not see climate change as an important threat right now.

Gun Control: Gun culture is a big part of American life. But due to recent issues, Hillary feels we need to implement stronger background checks for gun owners, and Trump feels the real problem is mental illness, not guns.

Education: All My Sons Kansas City movers know Missouri residents are opting to replace Common Core, but Clinton says she wants to make college more affordable and stick to Common Core lesson plans. Trump does not think Common Core is an adequate education system anymore, and that the U.S. should not be generating income off student loans.

ISIS: Our borders are a huge topic, especially in consideration to the threat of ISIS. Clinton is on track with Obama’s current plan, and Trump wants to close off our borders until we feel safe again.

Economy: The U.S. economy has done well during Obama’s presidency. Clinton would like to cut taxes for the middle class and create jobs through clean energy. Trump also wants to cut taxes, but will not make changes to Medicare or Social Security.
