The Lenexa City Council has approved an apartment project that will bring a mixed-use development to the city center area. The development will include 306 residential units and also allot substantial space for retail outlets and restaurants. The development is called the Residences at City Center and will consist of 4 and 5 story buildings throughout a 28-acre site off of Renner Boulevard and 87th Street Parkway.

The initial phase of the property will be the residential towers which will be built by Block Real Estate Services. The Lenexa movers have found that the second phase of building will bring 246 additional residential units. A major development separate from the mixed use project will bring a recreation and fitness center, auditorium, and additional office and retail space.
