The U.S. Department of Agriculture has released statistics stating that the sales of local foods amounted to about $4.8 million dollars just a few years ago. Early predictions are showing that this year will amount to about $7 billion in sales.

Locally grown food has long been encouraged by economies over mass market retailers. The idea is that you’ll keep the local economy in the local area.
