This Fall: Renovations to Your Home?

As we get closer to October, we get closer to the winter months and the weather that comes along with it. The Kansas City movers want to see you prepared for the shift in climate, so we’ve rounded up a few suggestions to help you transition through fall and into the coldest part of the year without worry.

First, make sure your home is properly insulated. This will also benefit you in the summertime when you’re cranking the air conditioner and want to retain cool air in your home. But first, it will be quite helpful at keeping your heater’s warm air within your house–more cozy and less cold!

In the same token, make sure all doors and windows are sized properly and aren’t acting as escape methods for air. By sealing off all cracks to the outside world, you’ll effectively keep the air you want in, and what you don’t want OUT.

Power wash the outside of your home. This includes patio space, decks, and other outside attachments and areas. The cooler months make this an ideal time to do work outdoors–that even includes touching up on paint and cleaning out gutters.

May your home be the best it can be this fall/winter season!
