Animal Wonders Animal Camp – Available for kids 5 and up, this outdoor camp in Lee’s Summit focuses on adventure and wildlife. During the week-long camp, kids will go on daily nature hikes and encounter a variety of animals along the way. The cost is $90 per child.
Child Prodigy Summer Camp – If you are looking for a summer camp with variety, Child Prodigy Summer Camp is it. Each day, the camp’s directors plan something new and exciting for campers to participate in. Some days will consist of sports and games, while others will be used to take field trips to local nature centers or the public swimming pool. The cost is $76-$150 a week per child and is available for kids 6-12 years old.
4-H Fantastic Camp at Rock Springs – Consider sending your child to sleep-away camp after moving to Kansas City to get them in tune with nature and give them an opportunity to ride horses, make friends, go canoeing and hike outdoor trails. 4-H Fantastic Camp at Rock Springs is a 4 day, 3 night camping experience and cost $210 for 4-H members and $220 for non-members.
