Following the mishandling of federal housing funds in Kansas City almost a decade ago, the Kansas City area will have a second shot at using federal money which will be used for area developments such as apartment complexes and a grocery store, among other commercial construction. The Olathe movers have found that much of the funding will go to the paused Beacon Hill development that encompasses Troost Avenue to Paseo Boulevard between 22nd and 27th streets in Kansas City.
If the properties are not developed in full, the titles will default back to the city, and subsequently funding will have to be returned to federal offices back in Washington. The Kansas City area is known for having a difficult and apathetic government, so hopefully this funding will develop the proposed projects for residents in the area.
