A new trend is catching on throughout the Midwest–something the real estate industry is calling flat-fee real estate service. Already used on the east and west coasts of the country, the idea is gaining momentum in the Midwest as downtrodden economies are still weighing on many. The flat fees are directly coordinated with the selling price of a home, with starting prices at $1,500 for a $190,000 home.
The Kansas City movers are glad that structure has been brought to the sale of homes, and that people can’t be taken for a ride or charged exorbitant hidden fees by anyone involved in the sale. A flat fee is much more manageable for people who were unable to buy or sell with the previous 6 percent realtor fee.
