Looking for fun things to do with your family now that you’ve moved to Kansas City and are settled into your new home? All My Sons Moving & Storage of Kansas City has a list of events in Kansas City to look forward to this month.

Kidgits Lil’ Chefs, January 16 – Get your kids interested in cooking after moving to Kansas City and sign them up for Simon Kidgits Lil’ Chefs. Located at 2035 Independence Center Drive, this event will include hands-on cooking activities, such as dough rolling.

Community Circus Week, January 18-24 – Prepare to be dazzled at the third annual Community Circus Week. The event will be held at the Arts Asylum at 1000 E. Ninth Street and feature all things circus, including eight circus shows. Visitors will also have the opportunity to participate in circus workshops throughout the week.

Paint, Pinot & Plaza Lights, January 22 – Looking to network with other young professionals after moving to Kansas City? Join the Make-A-Wish Kansas City Young Professionals for a night filled with painting, drinks and appetizers at Riverbend Lofts Social Room. The cost is $35 and a portion of the proceeds will go to Make-A-Wish Missouri.

Chinese New Year Festival, January 31 – Come celebrate the Year of the Monkey at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. The festival will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and activities will include performances by various dance companies, Chinese folk music, food, drinks and more.
