Kansas City realtors and developers are hotly anticipating a comeback for the real estate market–and that time may be on the way. As for the cost of homes in Kansas City, interest rates are at a rock bottom level, which has contributed to steady sales and a nice demand. Last month, there were 17,308 houses available on the market for sale in the metropolitan Kansas City area. Usually, real estate markets look to have a six month supply of homes on the market, and Kansas City is at an almost ten month capacity right now. It’s not terrible, and it seems consistent. In fact, homes are still in the works–building permits for 262 homes were granted in June.
